"Y Fenni Castell"

"The king will come the poets say, to clear our path, to light the way,
Shield blown glance of luminous rays, through the mists and within the haze,
Around the cloud gusts carry the locks beyond the helm igniting the day,
Whose visage this within the steel?
Whose love, whose life, whose loss (tears for the heart's-blood of the mountain spilt upon the plain)?
Is it the same battle the same feud that blunts both sword and lance?
Were these stones torn with disrespect or patiently placed as evil's snare?
Do some care the "staff-of-life" to serve or will blood, blood and blood again be the government we deserve?" G.Hales
